.35 Whelan
I just got this back from the bluer. It's a VZ-24 Mauser that some had rebarreled as a .35 Whelan. It's got some beautiful wood on it. I just put it back together and it handles like a good shotgun! It's done up in the Sedgely style. It's a really beautiful rife but I just don't have a good use for it here in Hoosier land, so I guess it's up for sale.
The reciever rings have been hand matted. The reciever and front sight band is a matte blue. Barrel and trigger guard are a beutiful deep polished blue. It's got a Lyman rear reciever sight and an '03 front sight band with a Lyman white beaded blade. Trigger is Timney. I have seven boxes of various bullets, a bag of new brass along with a good bit of reformed '06 brass. A set of Lyman dies with a forming die and a brand new set of Lee dies. I also have a mold for it, I believe it's a 220 gr RCBS.
Here are some pics
I'm honestly not sure what to ask for it. There is over $350 worth of reloading components included. If anyone is interested in it,
Or wants to help out with a value, please chime in!
Beautiful
Wish I would have had the funds to support both purchases.

Join Doublegunshop.com & post it down in the Classic & Custom Single Bbl Rifle forum. Some real scholars there & they night have fun figuring it all out. Nice rifle, & too bad there is not much in the MidWest that requires one of those as a Garden Gun...
"Ma...git me my Whelan!! That dad-gum buffalo is back in the garden, again!"

Be still my heart...
That's nice Doug. I can't help on worth but it should bring a fair penny. If I didn't already have a Mauser so chambered, we'd talk.
.35 Whelan
That is a gorgeous rifle,
