Something shiny-er and and more useful to me has come my way.
Very very clean, 3 original magazines. There are some funky reflections in the photos. The blue on this gun is 99%.

I know most prefer the 1911 format but the Glock 20 is made for 10mm full loads, the 1911 is still a 1911 designed for 15K CUP.I have owned and shot both extensively. IMHO
There's a 'trick' to shooting the 10mm in a 1911
Just 'pretend' it's a .40 Short & Weak.

A buddy has lusted after one of these for a while now.
I passed your post on to him. Don't know if he can manage it right now or not but, if a fellow named Len contacts you, he's a good guy.

BAHHAHH!!!BAHHAAAHHHA! GOOD ONE HOOT!
I understand what you're saying Lee....
...and I do still prefer the 1911 in .45 ACP, but I still think I'll keep my Delta Elite. I tend to load it a little below full throttle with cast HPs, and it seems to handle that just fine. Besides, I have sentimental reasons to keep this gun roaring (it belonged to a late friend of mine).

How do you feel about the 10mm in a long slide 1911 with a 6" barrel. I have always thought that it would be a better combination for handling the 10mm cartridge. A little more weight to help tame the recoil, a little longer barrel for more velocity and less noise/muzzle blast, a lighter recoil spring needed because of the heavier slide.

CJM, It feel it would just be a matter of personal choice. Having carried a 1911 in 45ACP for roughly 20 years my personal feelings are that I like a 200 grainer @ 1200 fps, better than a 230 @ 800. Never noticed the recoil, I shoot a lot of 475 and 500 Linebaugh. Also like 15 rds better than 7 for most social intercourse. Course that's just me.

I'll comment that I had a 7" AMT Javelina for many years and it was accurate, but the recoil was still brisk, at least to me. Still, it was controllable and for a better shooter, would have been fine IMO. A friend talked me out of it since I did not shoot it very much.
