I have Just about completed the set of grips, i made the front sight a few weeks ago, got the trigger pull down to just under 3# and added a Bowen Rear sight. Rob made the 120 holster.
Hope to go shoot it and get it dialed in tomorrow. The front sight might be a bit high, the factory sight was right on the edge of being too short. I bought it over a year ago, and this is pretty much what I had envisioned for the outcome.
Your could sell advertising on that front blade.
Your talents are wasted on the airline
That is gorgeous..

Probably could. I like patridge front sights. It is WAY more visiable than the ramp they put on them. I may do a TLA or Clements style next. My goal is to figure out what height to make it. This one is .050" taller than factory.
Reminds me of a Boeing 747SP.
They had to put a taller tail on it to compensate for the much shorter fuselage affecting yaw stability. Just looks weird at first.
Thanks,
An Airline is the place you go to that sucks all of your dreams and talent right out of you.
If I had a lathe, mill, and a few other things I could have some real fun. The sight was made from a 3' steel bar. I used a hacksaw and a file to shape it. I havent made a set of stocks in close to 3 years so these didnt turn out quite as nice as I was hoping.

Was just gonna drop by and not even log in
BUT
Had to stop and say that gun and holster are some kinda purty!

I like the 747 SP too. Raytheon was building a telescope patatform on a SP back in the late 90s when I flew out of Waco. It was an old United bird they gave to NASA. I have a few pictures of it somewhere I took with a point and shoot 35mm.
I may go with something like the TLA to give me a longer radius but I will see how I do with it as is.

Thanks it turned out pretty close to what I had in my head. That is one of the first guns to be released that I knew I had to get one as soon as I could. Most things I buy used when I find a good deal.

Dadgum, Jared - that is some snazzy chunk of iron. I don't hang around bears, but if I did I would want something like that walking along beside me.
I've done a front sight on a mill...
That didn't turn out nearly that nice.

I was pleased with how it turned out. The flats all turned out flat and pretty darn square. I wish that the blued Rugers would have pinned in sights. I would be making quite a few more if they did.

We don't have bears around here either, but plenty of hogs. Hopefully I can pop one, or a deer with it sooner or later.

A fine piece of work! Shame about the caliber, though...
...if only it had been a .45.

I like them all from .22 to to .500. I have a pile of .45s in the safe too. As long as it isn't a .41 I like it.
That's a .....
Thanks. I'll have to let you try it out in a few weeks if I make it to Raton.
Have you been staying out of the storms lately. Every day they pop up I happen to be in the air. We were all over Oklahoma , Arkansas and West Texas today, I am tired of getting beat up, glad I am off tomorrow.

They made a few hundred of them. I really think it is one of the neater special runs they have made.
Thanks,
I need to break it in on some hogs. That and my Whelen sould make a nice combo.

I really like that 120, I will definantly have to get a few more of them.
