FS: Ruger NM Super Blackhawk, 10.5" bbl, 44 mag, Stroh tuned
FS: Ruger New Model Super Blackhawk, 44 mag, with a 10.5" bbl. This is the scarce tapered barrel, ramp front sight variation (S410N). The gun has a set of Hunter grey laminate grips on it. It has been shot, but doesn't appear to be very much. S/N is 84-58115.
It has a Millett rear sight and one of Kelye Schlepp's fantastic Belt Mountain knurled base pins in it. The gun was also tuned by pistolsmith Jim Stroh at Alpha Precision in Comer, GA, in March of this year. Here's the list of the work done by Jim:
-1/2 cock conversion
-Accuracy Package (Taylor throat, recrown muzzle, recut forcing cone
-trigger/action job, internal trigger stop, sear & hammer notch hardened
There is about $530 worth of Stroh work, a $25 base pin, a $35 sight, a $40 set of grips and a $550 gun...and $30 to ship. Asking $1000, shipped to your FFL. Will consider trades for interesting Rugers, Colts or S&W revolvers.
First "I'll take it" email to me at bigbore45colt @ ptd.net (remove the space in front of, and after, the @) gets it. Payment by USPS Money Order, cashier's check, or certified funds. Feel free to email with questions.
I will list this on a few other forums to maximize exposure. If unsold in a few days, I will take to auction.
Thanks for looking!
Matt
Matt, did you buy the sight?...
...I've been looking for a source.
No, it was on there when I got the gun...
No, unfortunately I don't have a source either. It came on the gun when I acquired it.

Oh well, worth asking...
...I love those Millett Ruger sights.

The Millet family sold the business to Bushnell according to their website. Don't see any signs of iron sights on Bushnells website. That is a shame. I purchased one of the Millet rears for my single six and it has been a good one.
Have you tried the Bowen rear sights?
I would guess you have but, if not, they are quite good. The Elliason rear sights, like the ones on the new New Frontiers, are also pretty decent.

Have IHMSA SBH
with straight heavy barrel and undercut front sight. I mic'ed 6 of these before buying this one as it had all .4305 throats except one that was smaller. We lapped that one out so all are the same. I won a few CO state championships with this one. Still shoot it now 'n again....its like having a 44M rifle.
Absolutely, thay are great...
...but when one can find the Milletts, they are a fraction of the price.

I swapped a pocket knife for a Millet for my SBH from someone on the board here, I forgot which guy. Great sight. A vast improvement over the stock setup.
