It looks promising as a reasonably priced mid bore. I have a bunch of brass and components and a couple other .338s...

Seen that one. Its going to be pretty snappy to shoot in 338 I bet.
yes, that is a factor I hope to mitigate with a can. Sorry

Dave So many choices so little time. If you'd like I have a 375 WBY(Takes either WBY or H&H cases) you can wring it out for a while, to see if it suits you. It is an old 1917 sporterized. Plenty heavy, good irons and drilled for multiple choice bases(It's major flaw)I can mail it over to you or drop it off in Albuquerque next month. Courtesy of Hoot and my own scrounging, I have a big pile of brass for it. try iot if you like it we can work a trade you can get you own what ever.

May have to work something out

I was really quite taken with the CZ in Bucky's, and the AR should more than cover it, but, having said that, if I could work something a little more economical, I am also looking into another 30'06, I am really looking to switch to more and more cast bullet rifle shooting. From the reading I have done, the 30'06, 35 Whelen, and 375 H&H all lend themselves quite well to cast bullets, have heard the same of the 416 Rigby as well, but brass is through the roof for the Rigby.
It's yours to use, just say it. That collection of Brno/CZ

are COOL! I was there when they bought them from a retired South African guide...cheap & plentiful brass cast bullet mid bore is the .35 Whelen...

Thanks Rob!

You know how it is, everything is about cost. The 35 Whelen is a round that has intrigued me for almost 20 years, and from a cost standpoint, makes the most sense, however, I never had much sense and something about a rifle that can be used on antelope or Cape Buffalo helps to override any sense I do have. Looking at molds, dies, and conversion kits now, reckon that will be the bottom line.
Stop!

You're taking my focus off the 375 H&H! It does look like a promising rifle, and would probably shoot cast pretty well. I have a young airman interested in buying my AR, not for sure I'm going to sell, but I really haven't warmed up to it like I thought I would, guess I'm just too old fashioned.
Rob, Forgot to mention

It looks like the 32 S&W needs a .314, I am still sorting through my sizers, and I need to measure some bullets to see if I have what you'll need when you create some extra hours in the day and can load for that cool little popper.
