More police trade ins. I just ordered a 3". Love that length in my Model 13 and figured the 10 would be good for practice, and something my better half would like.
Contact info, please

I found this pic on the interwebs to hopefully better illustrate the type of barrel the 3-inch Model 10s @ Bud's have:
The relatively thin, slightly tapered rib shows up better; the slight barrel taper not so much, but it's there.
I'm pretty sure buyers of the Bud's guns can expect the same sort of thing.
This type of barrel is analagous to the early 3-inch Chief Special barrels: Not quite bull or stovepipe in profile, but not the usual curved taper, either.
Many think they are the 'coolest' looking on both post-war models, and I tend to agree.

Looks like they sold out of the 3" models.
Not surprising if they sold out quickly

If GunBroker is any indication, three-inch K-frames are 'hot items' right now.
Some are virtually on fire (for example, 3-inch Model 66s for well over $1k), and word gets around fast these days.

I spent over 2 years....

...to find my 3" round-butt, heavy barrel Model 10, and was tickled pink when I got it (although, as you and I have discussed in the past, not so tickled with the way our local gun emporium handled the deal.....).
I understand; it's always the same for me

I want them all, so even when it does, the search never really ends...

It's been a long time since I've heard that phrase. I remember my dad using it when we were kids. You may have just dated yourself, Glen...
Probably so, probably so....

Dang I sold a 3 inch 66 2 years ago for $350

Should have kept it. Someone said it was a "Treasury Model" whatever that means.
Musta been a McCoy that got it

Not a bad deal. Last year the local Cabelas had a bunch of Model 10s that were trade on from a local company's security. Not sure on an exact number but I heard from a couple of employees that it was around 100. Supposedly there were a couple of 2" and at least one 3" in the box. Those went to employees at Cabelas.
The ones they put on the shelf ranged from $199-249. They had both skinny and heavy barrels. We bought a couple and a couple of people in my family bought one. Most of them wore hogues that were wore smooth and had a lot of crap under the grips. But they cleaned up pretty good.
I figure that is the last time I'll see any kind of working S&W for $199.
