My new turkey decoy
Out on the deck after breakfast drinking my morning coffee and watching a couple of big gobblers strut for some hens up by the pond. Noticed something odd among the flock and moved so I could get a better look - it was our big, gentle, 15-year-old Maine coon mix, calmly walking around in the midst of the turkeys. I wasn't too surprised that Ruckus would go to check out the turkeys - she ain't aftaid of anything - but I was kind of surprised that the turkeys didn't seem to mind the cat. I would guess this wasn't the first time Ruckus and the turkeys had encountered one another, and the turkeys had figured out the cat wasn't a threat.
I saw a turkey just walking down the side of a highway
two days ago. Totally uncaring about the cars whizzing past.
They KNOW your not a threat after that .25 ACP indecent...
incident... I'm enjoying your turkey adventures...

'Indecent' is right
Or as Massad Ayoob said, "Friends don't let friends carry mouseguns."
Especially not for turkeys − not even if they are one.

I used to know a guy who did that all the time
He'd supplant the 'wrong' word in the 'right' place, which often made for a pretty good laugh.
You know, like any indecent involving a .25 Auto...
