Personally, I don't see what would be "fair" about my having to pay sales tax to a State from which I receive no services whatever.

I think the citizens of those States should pay their own way. If 'retail' sales are off, that's their problem.

If they want to kill two birds with one stone, they should slap an extra tax on Walmart to make up for it. That would be more like 'fair'.

on any company will just increase consumer cost. The company will just past the increase plus their profit margin along to the consumer.

And on a serious one, I hope Sen. Enzi and his friends with official D-suffixes lose this one, but it doesn't look very promising...
