Ignorance is what stands in the way of that. People don't know that the CHP holders have to be 21 and pass the background check, etc. to get the license. What they think of is drunk college students playing "cowboy" on the quad...

To security. All we said was let the people with carry permits carry in the building! Wouldn't have cost them a dime. Of course that would not be politically correct.

with CHPs carry but we didn't limit it to handguns, we had ARs, shotguns, etc. Of course nothing happened, we wouldn't have been a priority target anyway, but everybody felt safer than counting on a glass door.

Plan for active shooter scenario is quite simple - here is the list of staff with carry permits, get to them ASAP (the EMA can technically carry on the job anyway).
