looking at some .224 bullets it occurred to me that a cannelure would be very nice to have...and so looked and found CH Tools makes such a beast....has anyone used and what do you think...worth 70....?

And I guess it works okay. Their design strikes me as a bit Rube Goldberg though. Corbin makes one as well… don't know if it's any better or worse.

It looks a bit basic for the money, but it does work as advertised. The hardened straight knurling wheel likely is the most expensive part on board.

It is also useful if the cannelure needs to be located in a different spot for whatever reason.

No experience with the CH.

some king of pricey it seems compared to the 70 or so for the CH....but do think cannelures would be adviseable for 224 bullets feeding into an AR15 or M16...

I have the CH tool and it does work well but you control the depth of the cantalor with pressure that you apply. Takes pratice to get the same results and it is easy to mess up 22 bullets with it . J.Michael
