Mark Kelly & Gabby Giffords Vicious Dog Kills Seal Pup

As many of you may know, a vicious dog owned by Mark Kelly & Gabby Giffords was allowed to run at large while on a beach in southern California. Unfortunately this animal attacked and killed a young Seal pup. This Seal was a protected speci...e & so far the Giffords have escaped any citations for their lack of common sense in protecting the public & wildlife from a vicious out of control animal.

Below you will find several contact numbers for the Laguna Beach P.D., Animal Control & the Fisheries Dept. Please contact the numbers to insure that the Giffords are held accountable for their actions the same as you & I would have been.

They confiscate boats from folks for killing sea lions...

Become involved & make some phone calls.

Why should the Giffords be above the law? It appears that Mr. Giffords has potentially committed at least 3 crimes recently.

An attempted "Strawman Purchase" of a firearm.

Allowing a potentially dangerous Dog to be "At Large".

The killing of an endangered & Federally protected specie.

Why hasn't there been any charges filed? These are serious crimes. If it were you or I, we would be paying dearly right now.

The killing of the animal was not intentional.
I have a dachsund that would have attacked the same way. It would not have let go for anything once he got a hold of it. If they would charge me with a crime I would think it was Malicious and unwarrented. Why would I feel different about there dog?

An owner of a Dog or any other animal is required to keep that animal under control at all times. Failure to do so is not only against the law it is unacceptable.

Dogs are not allowed on 90+% of the beaches in southern California whether they are on a leash or not. There are only a few beaches that are set aside for dogs & they are usually sections of the beach that protected species do not frequent.

I was once on the losing side of a dog at large lawsuit & am familiar with the consequences. My dog didn't even kill another creature, but I spent over 2 years of my life in court, plus many thousands of $$$'s.

Maybe I'm a bit biased, but I feel that they should be held accountable for their lack of control over their dog.

Every dog must be trained to respond to at least 4 commands. "Come", "Sit", "Stay" & "Heel". The breeds that are bred to have powerful jaws also need to be trained one more command & that is "Release".

That Dog certainly did intend to kill the other animal. That is what those dogs have been bred to do. That is why they are all chest muscles & jaw muscles. When a dog shakes another animal like that it intends to kill.
