Charter Arms Bulldog 3" .44 original Stratford @ GunBroker $395

That is the best made version of the Charter Arms Bulldog.
I should, but I wont...MY XDs fills that roll perfectly.

I agree: The original 3" all-stainless model was best
And I am sorely tempted to buy this one, but I have a feeling I should stick with my J-frames.

Well, so much for rationalization
I just couldn't take it anymore, so I done did it.
I figure if it doesn't work out, I can probably get my money back.
Or something like that.

You saved me! I was just thinking it would make a handy
gun for my son. He lives in AK.

Wahoo! The only other good deal I have seen on 44 Specials
is that there are a glut of the Taurus 445UL with black finish out there right now. Local shop has one for $355.
There has been a Taurus 441 on GB for a bit now that the dude wants $750 on a Buy Now. I think he's reaching a bit.
Wahoo! The only other good deal I have seen on 44 Specials
750 for the adjustable sights version?
Glad I am unable to bid on such things right now,
especially with kind of wishful thinking.
Makes me appreciate my 431 even more.
It is one fine shooting pistola too, Heavy though.
Charter Bulldog . . .
I finally threw mine to the back of the shelf in my safe and regretted buying it once again. It was to be my carry gun, but NOT to be.
Did I already tell you how GREAT the 431 is??
Too heavy for carry piece, but GREAT gun.
Just curious
What put you off the Charter Bulldog?
I've never even fired one.
In addition, before taking the plunge on the subject specimen, I re-read my Cooper in a forlorn attempt to talk myself out of it.
You can see how far that got me.

PS: Col. Cooper liked the 'Bulldog' concept a great deal, but he was clearly unimpressed by it in Charterform.
