I have always carried a pocket knife and still do, but increasingly I find myself 'needing' a pair of scissors.

For example, when [*AHEM*] 'dining' out in the Post-Modern, Helter-Skelter world of Food Circus, one increasingly runs into those little packets of condiminiments, which in turn were no doubt foisted upon us, the Utterly Unknowing, by someone really mean.

Enter the Gingher 4-inch Backwinder's Textile Scissors, recently acquired from Overstock.com via FleaBay:

A little spendy, perhaps, at $15.00 (shipped), but they've proven to be worth every penny to me.

They're also quite sturdy for their size and otherwise very well made.

I think I can expect to get a lot more good use out of them. :-)
