Lawson importer of spanish shotgun

Hi guys,

I spotted a SxS 12 ga shotgun at a local pawnshop... it's a spanish made gun imported by Lawson Arms...

Anyone know anything about them or the gun?... it's marked Lawson Arms... made in Spain... 12 ga... 3" chambers... Full and Mod... two triggers...

they want $300 for it but it does have a crack in the stock at the wrist...

wonder if it's worth grabbing for occasional clays shooting...

thanks for any info ya'll might have.

on shotgun world: if the shotguns are marked with a GIB stamp on the breech or frame [ inside i suppose ]

" GIB (José Irazabal y Maximo Bolinaga) 10 ga SxS were manufactured in Spain in Elgueta near Eibar by GIB company. They were imported in USA by Mandall Shooting Supplies (Scottsdale AZ), by Lawson Arms Inc (Godfrey ILL) and probably By Dakin Gun Company (San Francisco)."

prices people were quoting were all around 300$ used. should be very serviceable gun. the pics they showed looked nice.

Thanks,

After thinking about this... I decided to pass on this one... it's $300 but it has a crack in the stock at the wrist and I don't know how weak it is from it.. and the bluing is very worn and the the reciever blue is nearly all gone... and I can get a Stoeger NIB for about $375 plus tax at a gunshop in Nixa, which is about 50 miles away...

Thanks for the info tho... that's more thann I could find... GRIN
