Anyone own a Remington 721 and a caliper?

If you wouldn't mind, I would appreciate knowing the receiver diameter. Got a goofy project in mind involving a scope mount (as of yet unpurchased) for the 721.

I am certain it is the same diameter as a Remington 700.
