Agreed: You can't beat a pancake holster...
Especially for revolvers.
Just in case: Pancakes work great for autos, too...

Inside/out straps and a "short-barreled bad .44" single action, appendix carry.
For us well-built, mature gentlemen, that would be retro cool.
