It is used with box. Looks good but I did not inspect it.

I would pay that, but I am a sucker!

I would snap it up myself.

I would not, because

I would not want the handgun. Smith and Wesson had problems with large cylinder throats and mediorce accuracy due to that fact. They fixed the problem with the 25-7. I could buy allot better sixgun for $700.00.

Just my 2 cents worth.

The later guns, without the pinned bbls, are good shooters

Mine is a keeper and among the more versatile handguns I own.

The pinned bbl revolvers are a different question.

I picked up a 25-9 a few years ago.

Its a great shooter but the throats aren't oversized. My brother got a 25-5 during the same period of time. I believe its throats were in the .457 range. It will shoot, but there was a lot of experimenting done before he achieved success. As I recall, he had to resort to swaged bullets to get it to shoot well.

Mine had very shallow rifling, didn't like cast at all.

Depends.

If you are going to shoot it, I would pay attention to these other gentlemen. If you are going to flip it, or "invest", they are currently bringing $850-$950, *IF* it is all original, and an *honest* 95%+ condition. They have been hot sellers for quite some time, and will only go up in value.

I had one back in the 80's that was beautiful but would not shoot worth a @@@@ with cast bullets, I flipped it at one of the DWF shows. Don't need to do that again. My Redhawk shoots cast great so I'll stick to it. Anyone else interested, let me know & I'll give you LGS contact.
