It's not much of a camera (Canon SD800 IS), but it does OK for what it is.

The 'secret' is the tripod: It lets me take pictures I could never hold still for...

About the only planning I do on these pictures is, 'I see them in my head' before I take them.

I set it up, auto-shoot five pics on the tripod, then try to pick the 'best' one and upload it to Photobucket (which is now in 'beta' mode, but I really don't know why).

The other day I discovered another little trick: If I can, I put the reflection of the overhead room light on something 'soft' in the photo, so it either doesn't show up, or it is muted (as in this case).

FWIW, I usually also 'see' the accompanying text for these picture posts − but it usually needs a little more 'work'. :-D
