Gun show today. Line at 10:00 when they opened.

Had to wait about 20 minutes to get in. There were ARs and some of the high demand ammo available even after yesterday. NO .22 LR except match ammo. One dealer actually had .22 Shorts though. I bought 3 boxes of .348 Winchester. Yes, I have brass and 9+ boxes of Hornady 200 gr. bullets but I wanted a baseline for reloading and I thought it would help sell the rifle after I'm dead. Lots of disgust with politicians expressed while waiting in the line. NRA table was mighty busy.

Yesterday, the GS in Iowa

there were more AR's walking into the place than walking out. The plastic lowers were 450.00, Uppers started at 650.00. The entry lever mossberg 15 with no forward assist or dust cover was 1700.00 and was among the cheapest AR. Nary a 22LR to be found, but when I did see some American Eagle bricks, 80.00 per brick of 22LR.

Wolf Target was $89.99 a brick today...

Because it is a match loading, no interest. Go figger.

That's what I'd rather have in times like these! In my CZ 450 or 452 (or whatever it is) that Wolf is unbelievably accurate. I wish I had more of it. Strange times we're livin' in! This price gouging is ridiculous.

Which one did you go to?

I didn't even go to the one in Des Moines this weekend. Figured the chances of a bargain were pretty minimal.

Fairgrounds on 26th.

There were some decent bargins on "normal" items. ( bolt guns and revolvers ) Loaded rounds were not cheap, although powder prices about normal, it was scarce. Same with primers. Not to mention it was VERY crowded.
