5-Screws, No Waiting...
I usually wait a while (and I might have one or two loose - lol), but this thing is just too cool not to post it up ASAP.
Glen and I completed a deal today, and this is my prize.
Smith & Wesson Combat Masterpiece .38 Special (#K200xxx, ca. 1953)
I hadn't seen anything quite like this for some time and nearly forgot: 'They don't make 'em like they used to.' This thing is absolute proof.
Thanks, Glen!!!

If all goes according to plan, it should soon be wearing some new shoes...

Can you say, 'Relapse'?
I'm sure you can.
Good thing 'It's just what the doctor ordered.'

Combat Masterpiece
is one of the nicest handguns ever built by Smith and Wesson. Mine is a 1957 vintage.
Nice grips...
The palm swell looks especially right, and the grain is really nice. Very nice gun, of course, too.
I haven't owned but one Combat Masterpiece, and that was a long, long time ago. It's good to
see an 'old friend' again − especially after 33 years.
PS: The Pre-M15 that I had back in 1979-80 was #K106xxx. Believe it or not, I sold it to buy
a stereo (turntable, receiver, speakers).
PPS: The good news is, my priorities haven't changed. Much...

Glen gets thanks, too...
For helping keep me interested in this, my life-long hobby.
Believe me, that is saying − and more importantly doing − a lot.

Charlers, that gun....
...just flat looks business-like.
This IS purty!

They don't call 'em "Masterpiece" for nothin' ...
I have a much-used M-15 and an almost pristine M-18. If a man only had one handgun to his name, he could do no better than a good Model 15. And I ain't never seen a bad one!
5-Screws, No Waiting...
That thing has a drool factor of 100% and then some.
I picked one up a couple of years back. Like me, it'll never win a beauty contest, but it sure has ridden many miles with me.
