Spotted - The 'New' Take Down 10/22

by FOG, Wednesday, January 23, 2013, 19:33 (4268 days ago)

Probably old 'news' by now, but I just bumped into one on GunBroker and thought it was pretty cool.

I always loved stuff like this, especially when I was younger...

...And even after I 'grew up'. :-D

have. Seem to be very well engineered/thought out.

Sincerely,

I was shocked how easily it came apart.

by cas, Wednesday, January 23, 2013, 20:12 (4268 days ago) @ Hobie

I did it with one hand.

Just curious: Was it too easy (too loose)?

by FOG, Wednesday, January 23, 2013, 21:04 (4268 days ago) @ cas

It kind of sounds like it, but I'm not sure.

If takedown is too easy (sloppy 'fit'), that would be a shame.

It otherwise looks like a neat little carbine.

I just meant mechanism wise.

I took it apart with one hand because that's all I had free, so I didn't take it into two pieces. But unlocked it and rotated it to where I could have. The gun felt sturdy and solid when together.

I probably should have known better.

Mainly just curious.

I don't pretend to know about new guns anymore because mainly I don't.

This puts me in a certain sub-group within so-called polite society: Dinosaurs.

Luckily, I'm in good company here. :-D

but easily to use. have had one since they came out. no loss of accuracy or loss of zero of scope, etc.

Have one. Solid & repeat TD-lock-up. Took...

a bit of fiddling initially to understand it -- got it set -- haven't re-adjusted since. Put a cheap red dot on it, just to practice using that type of sight. Good can bouncer. Eventually will get n8z5xa skinner or similar compact peep and fiber-optic front. Keeper.

Sounds like a winner to me. (ntxt)

Same results as Lloyd.
Good lock up. repeats sight setting, easily adjustable for take down, set it and forget it no constant fiddling with the rifle.
Neat carrying pouch, just fits under the back seat. There when you need it.

Who knows? I might just have to...

'Break down'... :-P

And get one. :-D
