Interesting story on many accounts.

In the 'Trivia' Category, I never would have guessed a Mosin-Nagant rifle to be very well suited to a person of the "small stature of 5-foot-3 inches."
More like 6-foot-3-and-up, I would think.

I think he means that the rifle has a relatively short length of pull. So does an M1 Garand for that matter. They are about an inch to 1-1/4 inch shorter than most commercial hunting rifles I have.
I have not measured the LOP any other WWII battle rifles, but from memory, I think they may have relatively short LOP's too. Must be so even small soldiers can shoot them. It is a lot easier for a tall soldier to adapt to a short LOP than a short soldier to adapt to a long LOP.
Interesting story on many accounts.

I thought he meant that the rifle had a relatively short length of pull, too, but I still thought it was worth a one-liner.
Or two.
