In Jeff's Gunblast review there is no difference between the top .22 LR and top .22 Mag velocity....983fps....none.....:-(

Those little mini-poppers do not burn powder well with the itty bitty barrel and all. The powder in the 22 Mag doesn't get going until down the barrel quite a bit more.

The 22 Mag. as I remember was intended for use in rifles. The use in hand guns came after. Just Saying. ATB

my 6-1/2 inch Single six chronographing 1500fps with the 40 grain JHP Winchesters or very close to it making it a viable alternative to the 1050 fps of a regular 40 grain 22 LR. But then again the longer barrel.

The Magnum loses it magic quick when the barrels get short....
