A lot of conservative and patriotic folks appear to have sat on their butts and elected Barack Obama to a second term. Somehow, I doubt many will admit to it.

You are exactly right. This election was ours to win, and the turn out overall for conservatives was shameful. Every single conservative registered voter who could have voted, and who did not should be ashamed of themselves.

This conservative voted a write-in, because there wasn't a conservative running for president.

Well, if as de Tocqueville suggests, American democracy is doomed, there is one more thing I believe:

I believe my part of it at least, will go down fighting. Those fellows at the Alamo knew they were doomed, too, but it didn't stop them from giving their lives for a greater good.

He pretty much revealed our future, and all the reasons involved.

Pretty sharp, observant young man, IMHO.
