Buying another Ruger Blackhawk .45

As if I need another one, but I like them with 4 5/8" barrel. This one is a New Model Blackhawk prior to the newer small frame guns. It's made in 2006 by serial number reference so it certainly isn't some early convertible that has any value other than a fun shooter! It certainly has pretty nice wood on it.

This adds to the SS Flattop .45 that I recently added Scott Kolar mesquite burl grips to.

Blues 4 5/8 .45 colt is a good choice

It is reasonably compact
It is light
It will likely be accurate
It will handle all of the big .45 colt loads

What more could you want?

I really like mine.

I like it even more now that I've added a Super Blackhawk grip frame set.

;-)

Maybe another one? Older new model or maybe one of the very rare old models I hear about.

You mean like this....

Old Model, 3 clicks, with 45 ACP:

Yep, hard to go wrong with a short .45! I added the SBH frame to mine also, as well as a Bisley Hammer, Bowen rear sight, Belt Mountain base pin, etc etc....

Yep, just like that!

So what would something like that set a fellow back?

The big-time Ruger guys . . .

. . . would have that at close to $1K in "collector condition" with the matching box approaching $150 . . . or more.

Yes, I am covetous, and not the least bit ashamed!

;-) :-D ;-)

You got it right, 98% with box and papers...

I do have a shooter version tho and do enjoy it although I like the 7.5" better.
