Movin' some dirt
Had some bulldozer work done yesterday, leveling off a place to build an equipment shed. The operator turned out to be a hardcore gun crank too, who builds and shoots ARs. He had five hours set for the job, but was finished in a little over four, and asked me if I needed anything else done before he loaded up. I had already mentioned that I didn't have a good place to shoot long distance (my range in the back yard is only about 60 yards, so he said "let's build you some berms". I climbed aboard and directed him down to the hayfield along the creek, and in a few minutes he pushed up a couple of nice berms at 100 and 250 yards.
Now I gotta get busy and build some benches and target frames, and load up some .30 ball. My pseudo-Springfield 03-A3 and Old John the I-H Garand are gonna get shot some next spring.
THAT sir, is cool!
Good on him and good for you!
