Winchester M-22 Tactical 22 LR

Gander Mountain is selling this ammo for $49.99 for 1,000 rounds. What is this stuff like? I use 22 ammo in a bolt rifle and a couple of revolvers. Is this any better then the run of the mill 22 ammo? I wouldn't mind trying it if it has better quality control and would offer better accuracy even if it costs almosy twice the cost of regular ammo.

Winchester or CCI make a 22LR load aimed at the tacticool crowd, the brass and bullet are all black.

TWICE the cost? Around here that's about $5.00 per 500

CHEAPER than run of the mill stuff. I don't know about the quality of the ammo. But, as was noted, the M&P 15-22 shooters need cool ammo for their guns... :-D

the cheapest we ever see per 500 is maybe 16-17$
we go through 500 - 1000 every time out.

About $2.50/box of 50 or $0.05 per round. Not a lot different than most other basic .22 ammo around here.

Fortunately my 15-22 is happy with the Federal bulk packs Wal-mart has. They haven't had any for a while locally, luckily I stocked up.
