Harold Fish has died. His life was ruined by politically
Ambitious Democrat prosecutors...He was finally released from prison after his money was all gone and health broken... Democrat crooks should go to prison themselves for their misconduct.
Fellow Arizonans --
I have an important Arizona news release coming, but this couldn't wait.
His obituary appeared in today's newspaper (Sat., 10/20/12),
even though he passed away more than a month ago.
If you're not familiar with the Harold Fish story you can search it out on the web.
Without this man's tragic train of events, your right to self defense would be upside down in Arizona.
The "news" paper failed to mention that state prosecutors had changed our laws to make citizens involved in defending themselves against assault guilty unless they could prove their innocence -- ten years earlier, in the middle of the night, quietly, without notice, while no one was watching. When what they had done finally came to light we were all stunned (the Burden of Proof law, §13-205, had been amended without our knowledge, in 1997).
We went from the high American world-class standard of "Innocent unless proven guilty," to that easy-to-convict pit of prosecutorial malfeasance which Arizona suffered under for a decade (presumed guilty), and it was this miscarriage of justice under which Mr. Fish and many others got entangled and suffered. Mr. Fish rotted in prison and experienced the loss of a fortune, even though he was innocent and eventually freed. He was initially not even charged until prosecutors realized he could be hung out to dry under the twisted law, and it was this travesty that led the pro-rights community and legislature to rally to his aid and eventually get the law returned to its original righteous state.
We owe Harold Fish a debt of gratitude that can hardly be repaid, because our laws now stand where they should be, with the innocent protected, prosecutors forced to do their jobs, and the state held in check by the rule of law as it should be. Those responsible for turning our laws on their head when no one was watching were never brought to justice.
Alan.

While it is too late to help Fish, other than keeping him out of prison, it is good to see the judicial system working like it should. The prosecutor in this case was a persecutor and the judge was incompetent at the least. After taking a long look at the evidence, I doubt if Fish could have been convicted in the trial had the Judge knew and understood the Rules of Evidence. He (the judge) excluded the evidence that would have shown the jury his innocence. A case of total judicial competence.
I won't get into the matter of "burden of proof", but that is just icing on the cake. Fish was not retried because there was no evidence of guilt. The Prosecutor is trying to lay it on the Legislature for passing the NRA sponsered law, when it was prosecutorial and judicial misconduct/incompetence from the get go.
I wish Mr. Fish well and hope folks rally to his support as he tries to piece his life back together. This kind of stuff inflicted, on an innocent citizen by the low end of the judicial system makes my blood boil.
