Yes. I have a bunch of dippers my Dad made... (reply)

You need a 22 Stinger dipper... can't remember how much more it throws than the 22 LR, but it's a useful increment.

.22 Short ... .22 Long Rifle ... .22 Mag ... .25 ACP ... .32 ACP ...etc.

The .22 Long Rifle throws right at 3 gr. of Bullseye and is just perfect for .38 Special.

Awhile back I loaded some .45 Colt ammo using Lyman 310 Tool (reply)

I find using the old methods kind of "therapeutic". Never have used the Lyman 310, although I've got a Lyman in 357 or 38 spl stashed away. Have loaded a BUNCH of ammo using the dippers over the years. Even have a 22 LR soldered to a copper wire that I used to throw Bullseye, if I recall correctly, under a SWC cast bullet. It's been too long... I also used the same dipper to throw charges of Especial de Caḉa.

Awhile back I loaded some .45 Colt ammo using Lyman 310 Tool

I did not weigh the powder charge .. I used my old Lee Powder Measures (dippers) .. I used the one marked to the throw 7.8 gr. of Unique. The bullet was the old Ideal mold in Lyman 454190 .. the Lyman copy of the original .45 Colt bullet.

I shot some of them today. All were at 20 yards. Some were shot offhand and some using a 2-hand hold and a barrel rest.

The old .45 is still accurate! The shooter ... not so much .. But it was Good Day! The sun was at my back, the target was bright, and best of all .... I COULD SEE THE SIGHTS MOST OF THE TIME!
