if I don't give up on loading for the AR... (reply)

I'm gonna buy that RCBS swaging tool. But if I keep having fits with hand loaded ammo I'm gonna stop wasting my time and buy hunting ammo and XM193 for get off my lawn fodder. I'll use my reloading time for important stuff like .38 and .357, .44 Magnum, .30-06 and.45-70.

I used the RCBS primer pocket swager. Properly set up (reply)

it works fine and MUCH faster than using a deburring tool to cut away the crimp (I've done that, too).

What's the consensus on using 5.56 NATO brass (reply)

That is 99% of what I use, so I worked up my loads with 5.56. I have been told the capacity is the same, but safety would dictate care in switching from commercial to GI brass.

What's the consensus on using 5.56 NATO brass (reply)

Used a bunch of it for bulk shooting in the 700 Remington. I simply treat it as any other brass.

Yep. I use it, no problems. I load my ammo so that (reply)

it can be used in the AR or in the Contender.

PS - I should note that I TRIM all my brass to the same length. IOW, I make it as alike as possible. Also, I've reformed a lot of it to 7mm TCU without problems.

What's the consensus on using 5.56 NATO brass

For reloading .223 ammo? I'm guessing it would require working up my loads again since capacity might be a bit less in the NATO brass.
