But it seemed like it was spitting fire - not the usual muzzle blast I was expecting, more like spit and flash. Of course I shot it alongside a Taurus 44 special - totally different guns.

They were so incredibly ugly, that probably limited their appeal. The 396 is much more interesting looking, although I do understand the usefulness of the shrouded hammer.

fun to shoot accurate carry gun... I just found an original set of the wood stocks for this four inch Target bull Dog. I gifted the Brand new made "retro" Bulldog to my shop manager. Travis Roundtree manger at Simply Rugged Holsters LLC. USMC combat vet, tough Okabilly and all around good man.

They came out around 10 years ago, I guess, and were met with a huge yawn. CDNN quickly bought up all the leavings, and was selling them for $350. I bought 4, and they went quick. I should have bought 20.
