Built the gun, shot at rather extreme range for a muzzleloading handgun, a muzzleloader AND a handgun. Darn neat.

Had 2 doe permits for PA . Early Muzzle loader season you can use percussion. Last year I built a pistol ML buy cutting down a Remington ML and mounting it with a Xp100 rear grip stock. Topped it with a red dot sight. It shoots great but I only shot it at 50 yds. Sitting on stand 3 deer came out at 200 yds and started walking to me. Ay 150 yds they crossed and started for the thicket, Now or never I held for 8 " drop and let it fly. Couldn't tell if I hit because of smoke. I reloaded and walked up looking for blood. I found where they walked into the thicket and entered . I saw a doe 75 yds in front of me. No tree for a rest so I took an off hand shot and dropped the doe in it's tracks. I dragged it out to the road and started thinking why would it still be there? I thought I should look for the first deer where I shot this one. I walked back into the thicket and found the first deer very close to where I shot #2. Two for two . Great way to break in a new gun that I built. J.Michael
