Earp gun... (reply)

I have several books & articles on Wyatt Earp, Tombstone & the Shoot-Out, that I have collected & read over the years.

In one of those books, there is an interview with Wyatt during his San Diego days, where he states that the gun used during the Shoot-Out was lost overboard a ship headed for Alaska.

I'd be hard pressed to locate the correct book that I read that from, but I recall thinking at the time of reading, what a huge loss that was.

Thank you
~JM~

I feel reasonably confident that the purchaser or purchasers had something in mind. That is not exactly pocket change to most of us.

On a gun that "may" have been carried by Wyatt at the OK corral. I'd have to know I could sell tickets...$100 to look, $1000 to touch the grips:)
