That is awfull. In the past month I bought at Walmart 3 boxes of Winchester Super X for 333 round count for $17 and change per box and a 525 round box of Federal for $27 at my local gun store. I hope these high prices come back to haunt these people.

That's more per round than the last case of .223 (reply)

I just came from one of the local emporium of fine firearms and see that they have Remington 525 pk, Federal 500 pk, and American Eagle 500 pks for sale. The first two are priced at $77 and the AE is priced at $55. A box of 100 CCI is priced at $14. I thought about buying it all up but the $20 bill in my wallet didn't cover it.

Ended up with a Winchester 75. Had a Winchester 67 which I sold for $300, bought the 75 for $450, then sold the sights off the 75 for $115. Basically a 67 and $35 obtained a Model 75 for me. Some tip off mounts and a 4x Bushnell from the basement stash and I'm ready to go shoot.
