Couldn't tell from the photos - is that a tapered barrel?

I have one of about the same vintage which has the tapered barrel and a Baughman ramp front sight, apparently original. Really dogeared when I got it. Sent it back to S&W for a refinish, and it looks like it just came off the production line. Lovely shooter! The lighter barrel gives it just the right balance for me.

FS: Like new 1950 vintage K38 Masterpiece, 5-screw, in 38 Special with a 6" barrel. S/N is K99XXX, which, according to the Std Catalog of S&W, shipped ~1950. Comes with factory smooth target grips. Bore is mint, lock up is tight, timing is spot on. The gun has been shot but it doesn't appear to have been very much at all. No box or papers.

Asking $730, shipped to your FFL or C&R

First "I'll take it" email to me at bigbore45colt @ ptd.net (remove the space in front of and after the @) gets it. Payment by USPS Money Order, certified funds. I am going to list these on a few other forums, to maximize exposure. If unsold after a few days, I will take to auction.
