Shot a brace of Buntline Specials yesterday (reply)

A buddy of mine used to own a Buntline Ruger based upon a Flattop .357 that a gunsmith had created with a foot-long barrel blank. Tried to buy it off him years ago, but he had promised it to another friend.

Shot a brace of Buntline Specials yesterday

Folks:

Not a matched pair by any means: one New Frontier, nickel-plated, faux-ivory gripped Ned Buntline Memorial Model, and one standard blued Buntline with walnut grips. Both in .45 Colt. Both Third Generation.

Got a lot of good-natured razzing from other cowpokes about shooting two short rifles instead of handguns. When I get a very forgiving, easy scenario, I shoot Gunfighter-style.

And earned another Clean Match pin by the end of the day.
