<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Yes, they were.  I had a very high condition one in an estate of antiques I helped a family move some time back.  I really wanted it, but it was too expensive for me to keep.  I think it was in .44 Merwin Hulbert, so ammo would have been a bit more of a problem than the one in the auction.  </p>
<p>I really wish the new company would be able to get guns produced.  I would do my best to buy at least one.  I like MHs second only to Schofields!</p>

<title>For those who were on the list for the new Merwin Hulberts</title>
<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I wonder how much less they would have been than having this original.  If it checks out mechanically, I think I'd rather have this and shoot blackpowder loads through it than have one of the new ones.  Given how much a custom costs these days, these shooter-grade classics are looking more and more reasonable in price.</p>
