I operate one of those a bit & looking at everything I'd guess that bucket to be no more than 4 feet from the teeth to the top of the bucket.

Old trick snake close to camera, men are in the background. (reply)

Not that big a a back hoe. and the bucket is angled away from the camera and extended fully . Best estimate of snake length would be made from the width of the bucket not bucket height. If bucket is 18" to 24" wide that would put this one in the range of 10-14 feet long. Not all that big as jungle snakes go. Also snake does not appear to have the girth necessary for a really big specimen. JMHO

I don't think the 19 meters is correct. (reply)

Perhaps 19 feet. As already stated, compared to the bucket, I'd give it 24 feet at best as you can't see the end of the tail and they can carry some length past the vent.

Anyone with heavy equipment experience care to guesstimate..

how long this lil' guy is? All I know is that someone posted this photo of a serious sized serpent. I don't have enough experience with heavy equipment to try and guess how long it probably is. The caption claimed 19 meters - but that's at least 10 feet longer than I'd guess it at. They also claimed it was an anaconda, but the pattern is more like a boa constrictor.
