you post using your "official" username. The first one you posted had a gap between a hyphen and a word. I took it out. The last one you posted clicks through fine. This one,as you note, has too many http:'s in it.

ANYWAY, thanks for posting it.

Self-defense info - rec'd and sent on to y'all.

Rec'd and sent on to y'all, I have no doubt everyone here is up to speed, but reminder and review can be useful.

Sometimes modern society brings home to me the old truth: "That fellow wasn't worth the powder used to blow him away."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Watch this. It was sent to me by a friend, who is a firearms instructor and retired criminal defense attorney."
Massad Ayoob , one of the really great "good gun guys" .
Mas is an American patriot, gun writer, philosopher, cop, college professor, firearms trainer and self-defense consultant , and expert witness on justifiable shootings.
This is truly worth the minutes needed to view.
What to say to officers arriving on the scene of a justifiable self-defense shooting.
http://www.gunsandammo.com/ 2011/05/26/video-after-a-real-shooting/
Afterword by the sender:
This stuff is aimed at shooting in public places. It is very different when the cooling corpse is lying in you living room wearing a mask and holding a butcher knife.
As for the folks who think they will be hailed as John Wayne, I thik the attitude is based on the idea that if you shoot a bad guy, you are obviously a citizen hero, and will immediately be id'd as such by the responding cops. The thing to remember is that cops regularly shoot OTHER cops when arriving on the scene of a confrontation between, say an undercover officer and a dealer. They just EXPECT the guy with the gun to be the bad guy. Ayoobs advice helps the GOOD GUY survive the arrival of the cavalry. If you are on the street and no apparent threat remains- HOLSTER your sidearm. Keep your hands visible, and do what Ayoob recommends.
My brother the lawyer charges 5000 bucks for pre trial work, and murder is an additional 30,000 cash up front from indictment to trial. This doesn't cover court fees or expert witness or PI work. It is a good idea to make sure cops know you are the good guy and can say same to DA and Grand Jury.
As an interesting aside, one of my old friends, Chief Investigator for Brazos County SO, told me of a "street tool" used by cops to identify players - bad guys rarely use holsters. Particularly street thugs. Cops and responsible citizens tend to use holsters on the street because it is a safe, and convenient and even rudimentary training emphasizes holster carry.
Just some additional grist for the mill.
