It must be a very late West German P220 because it is marked Sig-Sauer, Exeter, New Hampshire.

I sold it to a friend who has been looking for a P220 since the beginning of the summer. He came into the shop a few hours after I posted and I recalled how much love he has for the design so I gave it to him for a couple of bucks over cost, just enough to cover the paperwork fees. He is, to say the least, in ecstasy. He will be even happier after I get Rob to make him a CID. His first center fire pistol and his first custom leather!

I am very satisfied with the New Vaquero, but am going to add nice grips, a lanyard loop, and either a SBH or Bisley hammer to gild the lily. It is going to be my SAR sidearm for when we are in the boonies.

and it seems like you did well on that deal. Is it Browning-branded?

The Vaquero is a good pickup too, but you already knew that.

Thank you Andrew!

The .44 Special (mmmm, mmmm, good) Ruger New Vaquero auction on Gunbroker you mentioned a week or so back just arrived in the shop. Wow! When these folks say "like new" you better believe it! I honestly don't think it was ever fired. Nice score!

On another note, had a fellow come into the shop last night with a well worn (but tight) West German Sig-Sauer P220 .45ACP. It came with a Fobus holster (gag), three magazines, a good leather double mag pouch, two new recoil springs, a brand new set of tritium night sights, installed. Also a bag with the original dead night sights.

We deal with this fellow a lot, and he trades constantly. Last night he swapped that old Sig for a relatively clean 870 Wingmaster that we had roughly $150 into!

So, guess what P220 is going home with me!
