Try here.... (reply)

Try going to the luger forum ( http://www.lugerforum.com/ ) and click on the "message board" on the left. I would place a want ad stating what you are looking for. They're a great group of guys there and the most knowledgeable on lugers that you will find anywhere...

The Interarms Mauser lugers have gone up in price a lot in the last few years, and the P-08 framed version (called a 06/73 model) has gone up the most. You can expect to pay around $1000 to $1200 for a really nice one, and even a bit more if it has the box and all paperwork and accessories.

They are wonderful pistols. They are very nicely made of modern steels, though not quite up to the standards of pre-war lugers. I have two in 9mm; one is a 4" and the other a 6". The 6" gun is one of my favorite shooters, and firing it is completely different than shooting the 4" version. Hard to believe that 2 extra inches of barrel can make such a big difference, but it does. The 6" gun can shoot groups that will have you shaking your head. The 4" gun does well too, but not quite as well as the 6". The factory grips do feel a little blocky and not quite like an original luger, but there is a true craftsman on the luger board named Hugh who can reshape and re-checker for a very reasonable price. I had him do the grips to my two Interarms Mausers and now they feel like a true luger should. All in all they are thoroughly fun guns with a lot of class.....

'RESERVE NOT MET' @ $800, so I'm guessing it ain't 'cheap'.

I know you said you didn't want one, but if you could stomach a Swiss-style grip, there's also this one for 'only' $879 (which *does* seem 'cheap').

Would like to buy a post-war Mauser Luger

One of the ones built in and after the 1970s. Looking for the later version with the "true" Luger grip, not the Swiss style.

Any caliber, any barrel length, although my preference would be 9mm and 6".

Any one know of such for sale?
