Upon receive of fund, the sword will be going back to the family. Quite a nice piece of family history with good general historical connection to the Boxer Rebellion.

For those of you that have followed the sage of Walter Tardy's sword over the years, I thought I would post a couple of pics I just took to send to Steve.

The blade is by Horstman (Philadelphia) and is etched along with the usual floral pattern..

Left Side: For Personal Excellence and Promotion of Athletic Sports 1897-99

Right Side: Naval Cadet Walter B. Tardy USN by Auxiliary Athletic Association
