Bluing is much harder than nickel, and I think it is highly unlikely the 'proprietary' alloy in the product in question is any softer.

My bet is, the product will severely scratch nickel, if not remove it altogether.

Bottom Line: This is one case where I would definitely try it on an inconspicuous area first. (LOL)

Looks like mine, except mine wears a Williams Peep, and most of the bluing is gone.

Works great for removing rust and not hurting bluing.
