Oddball 9mm brass (reply)

Sounds kind of strange to me! 9mm is pretty touchy as far as pressures and seating depth are concerned. If there is any question on the capacity being reduced, I'd toss them! Not worth the danger for soemthing as cheap as a few empty 9mm cases.

Oddball 9mm brass

Processing some range brass yesterday I noticed two cases with the HS "Ammoload" that had a steped inside, like the brass had been reamed from the top to a certain depth. There is a very obvious step to a smaller diameter about 2/3rd the way toward the base. Anyone seen this before, or know about it. Appears the powder capacity would be reduced and loads would have to be reduced for these cases. Odd, or not ?
