Flashlights are like tater chips (reply)

Clockwise from lower left:
• Smith & Wesson Model 638-1 (.38 Special)
• SureFire 12ZM (500 Lumens)
• SureFire Digital U2 Ultra (Variable Output, 2-140 Lumens)
• SureFire Executive Elite ('Green', 60 Lumens)
• SureFire Executive Elite ('Silver', 60 Lumens)
• SureFire Executive Elite with KX2C LED Conversion Head ('Black', 200 Lumens)

FWIW, my favorite for all-around use is probably the last one. The 'form factor' is darn near perfect, and it works like the proverbial charm.

In the All-Out Fun Category, the 12ZM is the hands-down winner. By far. It's pretty hard on batt'ries, but it'll light up the entire neighborhood in a *BLINK*.

Woot deal on excellent Goal Zero Lights. LED rechargeable

Adjustable beam, high low settings long life USB cord with 110 out attachment. these retail for 50-60 bucks. One can also get a small folding solar panel to charge these or phones or battery packs from Goal Zero. We have been using there lights for 2 years on our -place and really like them. There lights are about 50 bigger than a Surefire 6P. http://sport.woot.com/
