Recycling for Sixgunners

If you have any of those candles that come in glass jars around the house, then after one is all done in, you can remove the lid, pry off the plastic seal, and you're left with a handy little bowl you can use as a receptacle for small parts during disassembly, or as a solvent dish during cleaning.

Cleaning with Vinegar

Our water is harder than the Rock of Gibraltar, so I keep a spray bottle filled with white vinegar for cleaning the mineral deposits. I also use it for many other household cleaning chores.

Green Works® Glass Cleaner

Works about the same as any other, but it does one thing many do not: I have found it safe for use on prescription eyeglasses with anti-reflective coatings. I've only used it on Crizal- and Hoya-brand coatings, but it has never caused any problems, and I've been using it to clean my glasses for years.

EcoSMART® Organic Insecticide

If you have pets or children around the house and any bugs show up, 'This stuff nukes 'em dead.'
(The bugs, I mean − LOL) It also smells rather like cinnamon instead of The Stuff That Rots Your Brain.
