Texas isn't there yet but there is a bill on the books that will end having to recertify for CHL after the first time. Just log in and pay the tax (yeah...they want their money!). I hope it passes but I'd rather see constitutional carry. The only positive to having to qualify is I've seen a lot of folks shoot that test and I honestly have a hard time believing they've ever fired a gun. I think for some, seeing the gun doesn't hit magically might be a wake up call for some more practice:) However, I'm a stickler for the constitution and I like states that respect it in their gun laws!
