Sorry to heard it, Frank. Brittany's are great dogs. My brothers first bird dog was a Brittany. Hardest hunting dog I've ever seen.

My Brittany KT, was born on the last day of 1999, she was my 3rd brittany , The one before her was the best Grouse hunting dog ever, she lived to be 15 years old and when I had to have her put down it tore a big hole in my heart. Now I knew KT`s time was getting short , but it`s still a sad thing to have her put to sleep. I came home today and found that she could not stand up anymore and was in some pain. so now its over the grave was dug in the back yard next to my other Brittany. KT only went hunting a few times she did find and bring back a big grouse one time that I shot , but she just was a house dog for most of her life, But I will miss her.
