The 'main' point was Sen. Mike Enzi, *R-WY* wrote the bill (reply)

The Walmart thing was supposed to be a 'joke'.

On a semi-serious note, I can't stand the place and consider it the Sore [sic] Of Last Resort.

And on a serious one, I hope Sen. Enzi and his friends with official D-suffixes lose this one, but it doesn't look very promising...

OT: Guess who wants to raise taxes now?

"Mike Enzi, R-Wyoming, and several Democrats are the Act's prime sponsors." (Colorado Statesman)

The Marketplace Fairness Act of 2013 (Official Text)

Personally, I don't see what would be "fair" about my having to pay sales tax to a State from which I receive no services whatever.

I think the citizens of those States should pay their own way. If 'retail' sales are off, that's their problem.

If they want to kill two birds with one stone, they should slap an extra tax on Walmart to make up for it. That would be more like 'fair'.
