I just couldn't get any really nice pics with my phone. (reply)

As far as condition goes, it this is any indicator of it's lack of use, the loading gate looks like it has never had a round loaded through it.

I was looking at them on Gun Broker Yesterday and (reply)

there were about 5 of them in 357 or 44 caliber....They were bidding at 800 up 1000 plus and some of them were in Rough condition.

I got one for Christmas as a Teenager when they were new...And have enjoyed it.
Currently loading Keith hardcast in a 44 special case. (to feed that long bullet without modification to the rifle) With the Keith load of 16 grains 2400.
I believe it shoots about 1500fps last timed I checked them.

On a good day it will clover leaf at 50yds. And stay under two inches at 100 yds.

Was looking a 357 as a truck gun but the prices I saw shuned me away..

Very Good buy and I am sure you will enjoy owning the pawn shop pick up.

Great deal! Mine came with a really stiff action (reply)

and heavy trigger. Nothing that a lot of shooting and dry firing hasn't improved, but I'm still not 'there' yet with it.

It's such a neat gun that it makes my prized Marlin .44 Prospector feel like a club in comparison.

Excellent Find!! (reply)

Still kicking myself for passing on a pair about five years ago, one 357 and one 44, in beautiful condition for just a touch over $500. Some of the best of the breed for sure. Now I would gladly pay $500 for a nice one.

Friend had one in 44M (reply)

the rifling did not twist...I kid you not. It was straight as an arrow. After 2 trips back to the factory....which they would not fix, he traded it off for a S&W Mod 41. It sure was a beautiful rifle though.

Stopped into a pawn shop up the road that has a big firearms department. Saw it on the wall for a good price. Blue is fantastic, wood just has some handling nicks. Walked out with it for an even better price (sub 500).
